About me

I am a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of business and human rights. For over a decade, I served as Senior Advisor in the Secretariat of the Council on Ethics for the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global (the Oil Fund), where I worked on complex issues at the crossroads of finance, ethics, and international law.

I have developed methodologies for Shades of Green (now part of S&P) to assess alignment with the EU Taxonomy, and to assess companies’ frameworks under the Green Bond Principles. I have also contributed to the work of Celsia (now ISS Corp.) by developing content for software that enables companies to meet the requirements of the EU sustainability directives.

I was for five years the CEO of Norsif - Norwegian Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment. Today, I serve on the Board of the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB), as well as Norway’s largest environmental NGO, The Future in Our Hands.

My career began in the Legal Department of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm. I have also been a resercher at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo.
